Words to inspire – Don’t waste time being something else. Be good at being you.
It’s great to get inspiration from others but I would say only to the extent that it doesn’t change who you are, what the Almighty created you to be.
I’ve wasted a lot of time trying to fit in and be something that I’m not. Now I have the understanding that I’m just quite peculiar but that’s not a bad thing. I’m obviously meant to bring something different.
One of my colleagues asked me yesterday where was my bounce? I laughed cos she literally saw me for a second and noticed that I wasn’t my usual self. I was a bit under the weather yesterday with spring hay fever so I was struggling a bit.
It made me laugh because I must have a JK presence that other people notice so I can’t be anyone else now even if I tried because people would find it more unusual. The cover has been blown lol.
I used try and be like others as I thought similar success would come as a result. I used to think, maybe if I was a bit more like this and that I would progress faster. Then one day I woke up and thought, nah my success comes from the Almighty and it will look the way it’s meant to look which will be different to others because that’s just the way it’s always been for me. To be honest, I’m not after fame and fortune anyway. I just want the visions I believe in to impact lives in the way I pray for and for MrJK and I to be able to provide for our offspring. That’s happening now even in really small ways, so I just need to be JK and deliver in the way that comes naturally to me.

I think I’m pretty good at being me now. It took a long time for me to find me but now I have, I’m so content. It’s far less stressful in comparison to trying to keep up an act.

Don’t waste time being someone else just be good at being you.
