1. Words to inspire:

12 years ago this week, we exchanged contracts on our new home. We moved to a town far away from everything we knew. I knew one person locally but everything else was left behind. It wasn’t totally a bad thing leaving things behind because I had to get away from some stuff, but it was still very scary stepping into the unknown. For some reason I was just compelled to go but I didn’t know why. I used to think it would be good if we were just given insight into everything to come. But then where would spontaneity be? Surprises wouldn’t exist and actually if God showed me what was ahead, could I have handled that information in the place I was? Nope!
Sometimes we have to look at those trees on the hill and walk towards them to see what’s on the other side. Either that or we stay where we are and never find out. It’s a choice.
I’m so glad I took those steps, stared fear in the face with a smile and moved closer.
